You may not experience all of these symptoms but if you just have a few then you need your TSH tested. Its a simple blood test to determine if your thyroid is acting properly. For normal levels check here.
Approx. 5 yrs I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I was turning 30 and started to have trouble loosing weight. I always experienced cold feet and hands, memory loss, frequent muscle cramps and constipation. I was having difficulty maintaining a pregnancy and had several miscarriages. If your levels do not remain between 1-2 then you could miscarry a pregnancy. My doctor decided to do a full work up and that’s when she discovered that my thyroid levels were low. Started on synthroid and began testing my levels til’ I my levels were back to normal before I was given the go a head to try and get pregnant again.
Over 5 million Americans have this condition and many more that haven’t been diagnosed yet. You can find more information at http://www.endocrineweb.com/hypo1.html.

Yes I am. I take 50 mcg 5 days a week. I used to take it for days a week but my thyroid levels have been great while breastfeeding and taking my prenatals with Omega 3.
I only wonder what will happen when I stop these both. I’ll sure find out in about 3 months or so. I may still take the prenatals or find a over the counter comparable.
I have been diagnosed with this as well. I had always gained 50-60 pounds during my pregnancies and they just assumed it was pregnancy diabetes. With my last child, I was diagnosed 1 year prior to having Hypothyroidism..so they were ON the ball with it. Wish I could tell you I didn’t gain the weight…yeah right! They had to increase my meds at least every 2 to 4 weeks.
Are you on meds for this????
