When we first opened the box to reveal this toy it looked like loads of fun. I saw the battery compartment and thought wow what else does this do? My 4 yr old began to tear into the box quickly even before I could get my camera. Then my 9 yr old began to help and of course my 2 yr old was not going to be left out. They soon found out that opening the box would take the skills of “SUPER MOM”. WOW! the ties on this toy! No way there was anything going to fall out of the box or be takin’ from it if it were on a shelf. Gotta love the packaging these days!

Coming compete with a roller coaster that has a car flying basically into the air and not curving around was a surprise to me.  Musical melody plays as you go for a ride on a dragon but doesn’t play continuously.

There are several different areas of play for the imagination. Riding on Dragons, knocking down bottles, go round and around the musical ferris wheel she’ll go, and off on a wild ride down the roller coaster.

One thing that you’ll immediately notice is that there is only one character. One lonely girl character in  our  amusement park. Who goes to the amusement park alone? The one character does have several different theme arm rings. Kinda like changing a shirt. There is a hammer dress, hand up for going down the roller coast, and another that’s a skirt. My almost 2 and half yr old was not interested in those. My 4 yr old did change them out periodically.

There’s an arm to push down that helps swing the dragon swing and a switch the handle over will help the Ferris wheel go around my pressing it up and down. Again my 2 yr old had no interest in this part he basically turned the wheel  Ferris wheel on his own and pushed the  dragon, too. He loves pushing and swinging the dragon that seems to be one of his favorite parts. My 4 yr old likes putting the roller coaster car on the track and sending it down the track. He’s all about racing.

Place the pal on the circle in front of the “ring the bell game” and push down. The bell lights up and rings. Just like a real game. My little one loves this feature. What I like about the music and lights is that it doesn’t continuously keep going off unless he’s playing. That saves on battery’s and saves the sanity. I can’t wait to check out more Pop in Pals.
