I wasn’t born in the 50′s but every time I watch Grease I want put on my leather jacket, crop pants, put my hair in a pony tail and dance around the house. Sock Hops, and 50′s parties are popular after school programs and fun party theme’s. Now you know you can’t go to a Sock hop unless your properly dressed. What you’ll need is a 50′s costume. Costume superstore has some of the most creative costumes imaginable.
All of the clothing fashions from the 50′s like fun poodle skirts, black and white saddle shoes, the popular “Pink” satin jackets, those trendy 50′s glasses to fit the fashion for the 50′s you’ll certainly find what you need, to be the center of attention at any Sock Hop.
We were sent a cool Nifty Fifties Childrens Costume for review. At the age of 10 my daughter still loves dress up and she has a fun Sock Hop 50′s party next month and needed a poodle skirt for the party. I don’t have anything like that laying around here and I have no idea how to make one although I would of love to if I did. The best thing to do when you need a 50′s outfit is to pick one up at the Costume Superstore. Here’s the one she selected.
The outfit is an adorable pink which is my daughters favorite. It’s one piece so you don’t have to worry about keeping them together. Everything including the belt and the poodle is attached. Your poodle won’t run away with this cleverly attached and playful leash. The pink and white stripped top is made of stretchy material. The neckline can go down as pictured or flips up a little like turtle neck. The skirt has a really fun wide flair to it, especially when spinning.
The sizes do run a little small. So be sure when your ordering you take a look at the size chart and order accordingly. Let the good times roll with this fun and creative 50′s dress up costume and the sock hop will continue to Rock n’ Roll all night long. Be sure to pull out all the Best Songs from 1950′s and you can start doing the Mashed Potato and Twist and tell me if you like it like this.
My daughters talking about a 70′s party next. What fun and trendy era parties do you like to have?

OMG! I just love the poodle skirt looks. Wish they’d come back in style. I’m sure they will but not in my lifetime, maybe Rylie’s!

How cute is that? She’s adorable & hey 50′s were cool. I mean I was only a baby, so I really wasn’t bee boppin’ around until the 60′s, but I heard about it! That was more your Uncle Russell’s era! Nice Post – love the outfit, but I love who’s in it more!
