Step 2 Sand and Water Fun Farm Review and Giveaway
It’s summer time sand and water fun on the farm for little one’s and having a sand and water table with great farm toys gives little one’s hours of play time while you get to sit back and relax. When the weather is hot and the heat index is high my boys still love being outside. Splashing in the sprinkler only lasts for so long then the kids look for something else to occupy them. The Step 2 Sand and Water Fun Farm has two compartments one for sand and one for water or both for water if you like.
The Sand and water fun farm comes with a colorful tractor with two carts runs around the side of the table and through the middle separating water and sand compartments. Kids will have fun driving the tractor through the colorful red barn tunnel and is easily moved to any where around the outside track on the table. Includes adorable farm figurines; farmer, horse, cow, chicken and a frog and a fish for the water side, too. The tractor can pull two colorful carts around the road of the table as children use the shovel to fill up the carts with water or sand. Also has a wonderful windmill that spins so fast especially when the wind blows and living in the windy city you know we get a lot of wind around here. The funnel comes off and can be used to scoop or sift through the sand or just play in the water with. It fits easily back on top the stand and kids can take it on and off in a snap. There is a spinning paddle wheel right below the funnel but upon installation it was a bit tight. We widen the hole and it spins a bit easier now. I love how the table is raised at the perfect play height even for my short just turned three year old and my 5 year old son, too.
For mom who raise climbers it’s even sturdy enough if a child climbs on top of it and try’s to sit in the table. Go ahead ask me how I know and I’ll tell you I have BOYS!! The table is not recommended to be sat in but if it does happen atleast you know it’s is sturdy.
The table requires minimal assembly. Many times I have trouble putting things together. Each piece snapped easily together so easily. I just loved it. The stickers require a bit of directions which are provided but honestly kids don’t care how the stickers are put on they just want to play. My kids couldn’t wait to start playing with the farm characters and the tractor. We actually opened this at night before we even had any sand and the kids were going to bed in an hour. They played with the animals and the tractor and had a great time. When you fill up the table with water both the fish and the frog can be squeezed filled with water and used as squirters. Pretend farm play just comes to life with my boys moo’ing, clucking like a chicken and naying like a horse. It’s fun to watch them play together.
The only complaint that I have is that there isn’t a drain plug on either side. So it really doesn’t matter what side you put the water in when you need to clean it out to put fresh water in you’ll need a cup or a wet and dry vac. It actually would be better is you decide to only use it for water or just sand then clean up will be a snap. There is no cover so be sure to put it in the garage before heading in for the night so bugs and yard debris don’t get in the table. The table is light enough to pick up and move so that makes it easy enough.
