Fresh Market Kitchen Review: Kitchen, Market and Dining Area All-in-One

Filed in Reviews , Toys 17 comments

Get your little one’s ready for helping out in the kitchen with this 3-in-1 Step 2 Fresh Market kitchen. Offering all the fun of a vegetable and fruit market, play kitchen where they can prepare meals, put away food and listen to the crackle of food cooking on the stove and serve it on the other side in a dining area. The Fresh Market Kitchen is all my boys need to learn, grow and help out in the kitchen to hopefully make good husbands or own their own market or restaurant one day.

My boys love helping mom in the kitchen and one of their favorite places to play at the Children’s Museum is in the Fresh Market. There they can shop and select food bring it to the cash register and check out just like in a real market and in the Fresh Market Kitchen.

Step 2 Fresh Market Kitchen

Features and Accessories: All children need to do is supply the imagination.

  • Refrigerator
  • Range hood contains a working light
  • Oven and Microwave- turn of the knob will activate sizzling and boiling sounds in the stove top’s burner
  • Sink area and a “cutting board”
  • Earth-friendly grocery bag and two “wicker” baskets for shopping convenience and extra storage
  • 47-piece accessory set includes 2 place settings, pot & pan, stainless steel utensils & strainer, salt & pepper shakers, 20-piece play food assortment
  • Working register calculates and scanner. Has light and sound effects also comes with a credit card and key

Fresh Market Features

I love that there are so many accessories and there’s nothing to add. Step 2 thought of almost everything with the Fresh Market Kitchen.  With a kitchen area, market store front and a dining area along with it being gender neutral colors it’s much more boy/ girl friendly.  The register is a wonderful addition along with the stove making noise and the light in the hood above the stove.  The only thing else I think that would of been wonderful to have would of been actual buttons that made noise on the microwave or an actual play phone.  These parts are only stickers and although visually appealing there’s not much you can do with them. However,  kids do love to pretend and they expand the imagination where imagination is needed.

Set Up: I have to commend the directions and process to put it together this play kitchen set it really was very easy and they even supplied a small screwdriver, too.  We didn’t need a drill and that was great! The steps must be followed carefully and for the most part everything fit together perfectly with a few adjustments.

Durable poly construction wipes clean from real food messes. Step 2 products have always  stood the test of time through children play time. Their products have lasted for years in our family and have been handed down through generations. 3-in-1 stations kids play kitchen is great for multiple child play.

Kitchen fun for more than 1

The play kitchen is the perfect height for my 3 1/2 yr old. My older boy and others that were older who came over to play simply got on their knees. They didn’t seem to mind and went on playing and had a great time. Other than the “Order up” being yelled from the bedroom it was probably one of the quietest play dates we’ve ever had here. The kids really enjoy playing with the Step 2 Fresh Market and I like the L shape of this model. It adds more depth play area for kids and that adds more imaginative play and play time.

I love all of the features of this. It would keep my daughter busy for a long time. She gets bored easily if there isn’t a lot of different features to play with, but with this, there are so many different options for her imagination.

So cute! My boys would love that. Their father would love it if I finally dumped the 12 year old, barbie-themed-hand-me-down play kitchen we have, lol!

I love this, my girls are a little too old for a kitchen set now, but I kinda think they’d still love something like this…
