Buffalo Wings and Rings in Naperville, IL (Review)
Buffalo Wings & Rings is a Cincinnati-based sports restaurant that opened its nationwide 50th location in Naperville, Illinois.
I attended the Grand opening of the new Buffalo Wings &Rings Naperville restaurant Celebration Event on Saturday, December 10th. They opened the doors with a ribbon cutting ceremony done by the Naperville mayor. Buffalo Wings and Rings is hidden in a strip mall off 75th street and Rickett but trust me it won’t be long before the neighborhood locals and people drive in from miles away to get a taste of the absolute finest wings in town and to sink their teeth into some great food. The restaurant is not only family friendly but it’s group friendly as well. The staff is on their game and ready to seat you when you walk in the door. You’ll enjoy the open atmosphere with large screen television’s perfect for watching your favorite sporting event.
Little note from the brand. We love everything about wings. In fact, we made a promise way back in ‘84 (the year we served our very first wing in Cincinnati), that we would give our customers the absolute finest wings in America, along with more combinations of sauces and heat levels than they’ve ever seen before. In fact, we still blend our signature sauces from our original recipes and make our homemade bleu cheese dressing in-house each morning. We’ve recently raised the bar again, this time elevating our menu to another level, while keeping our core product of wings firmly intact.
I used to frequent Naperville often as well and work as a bartender in a local bar near the train station. Naperville is known for their family friendly culture as well as great school systems along with a small town charm, so it wasn’t a surprise to me that Buffalo wings and rings offers the same kind of atmosphere. We were seated upon entering and served drinks just as quick. The game was playing on the Big screen and family’s were enjoying each others company. The mayor sat a table next to us enjoying a big salad. The menu was full of wonderful choices and it was hard to decide.
Here’s a sneak peak at what Buffalo wings and rings has to offer.
Choose from 40 different flavors of wing sauce (they even had garlic too) and then chose the heat. Served up in a bowl so you get plenty of sauce.
If your not in the mood for Wings don’t worry there’s plenty more to choose from.

Hubby and I both dined. We love to share meals especially when we visit new restaurants. We decided upon the Buffalo Ringer Burger which is served up with BBQ sauce (super tasty -wonder if they sell this in a bottle), your choice of cheese, topped with a Bacon and an large onion ring.
This burger was one of the best tasting burgers I’ve ate in a long time. It was cooked perfect, juicy and with just the right about of sweet BBQ sauce. I love Onion Rings and I do like my Bacon a little crispier but everything tasted just right.
We also ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. We ordered them without Onions and unfortunately they arrived with them so I had to send them back. They brought us out another and these were cooked perfect.
Here’s a few personal photos I took to give you a sense of the atmosphere:
With a large open seating plan that offers table seating as well as booth seating your certainly find comfortable seat. Paper towels are on the table so you’ll have plenty on hand for those finger licking good meals and any spills that the kid may incur.
In the bar area there are single tapper stations that can be seated with 4 or more. You serve your own beer as it’s monitored by the bartenders. No waiting. Just serve yourself and your friends.
One thing you’ll notice is that the large television screen is combined with several televisions positioned together. This poses black lines going through the picture. My guess is the reason they did it this was is to avoid distortion in the picture but the truth is the lines are just annoying. There are plenty of televisions to view around the perimeter of the room so no worries if you find this bothersome as well.
While waiting for your meal or hanging with friends be sure to ask for a bar Playermaker game system. These fun little boxes offer great trivia questions that are played on television screens all of the United States. Lots of fun.
One of the best things about this place is not only the food but as we were about to leave I noticed that a very close friend of mine ran over to get the manager. Turns out she worked there!! Her name is Carey. She’s super cute, awesome and you’ll love her. She’s the best bartender in the Naperville and they are lucky to have her.
When you visit say “Hello” to Carey for me and tell the manager Night Owl Mama sent you. Don’t forget to like their Naperville Facebook page (link below). They may still have Free appetizer wings special coupons just for liking. Print and take it with you.
Just a quick mention about using the bathrooms bring your sweater. It was icy cold the day I was there.
You can learn more about Buffalo Wings & Rings by checking out the website. They are excited to be in Naperville! GREAT FOOD NO BULL. If you don’t go to bed at night dreaming about wings, it’s probably because you haven’t tasted these yet.

We’ll definitely be going back for the great food and atmosphere with friends. The prices are pretty reasonable and it’s only 20-25 minute quick drive from 95th Street /294 toll. Maybe I’ll see you there.
