Disney Channel’s smash TV hit Geek Charming will be released on DVD on February 7, 2012 just in time for Valentine’s Day gift giving for the special little girl in your life. This DVD also includes 10 exciting episodes of the Disney channel television hit show “Shake it Up.” “Shake it Up show follows the adventures of Cece Jones (Bella Thorne) and Rocky Blue (Zendaya) as they star as background dancers on a local show, Shake It Up Chicago. It also chronicles their misadventures on and off-set, and their troubles and rising social status at school.”

Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland stars as Dylan Schoenfield, Woodlands Academy’s top girl! When Dylan accidentally drops her expensive handbag into the mall fountain, she is surprised that film geek, Josh Rosen (Matt Prokop), retrieves it for her. In exchange for rescuing her bag, Dylan must agree to be the subject of Josh’s documentary film. Dylan hopes the film will help her campaign for Blossom Queen – she claims that winning is her only life goal. Josh plans to make a hard-hitting expose about popularity, but, as he gets to know Dylan, he learns that the real Dylan is much more interesting than the persona she’s created.
My 11 yr old Daughters thoughts: I love Disney. When I started watching the movie I thought the girl Dylan was stuck up. She wasn’t very nice to her friends and she wanted to be Bloosm Queen so bad. Josh is a computer nerd /film geek and has to make a movie and he asks Dylan to be his subject. I like when she realizes that the movie wasn’t suppose to offend her but to show the real her that likes to watch cartoons and wears glasses. I thought it was funny when she ran out of contacts and tried to wear glasses to school but took them off and she couldn’t see. That was really funny. I’m glad my eyes are not that bad. I think the movie is good and all my friends like it too. I liked watching the Shake it up episodes too. Those are fun. I like Rocky and CeeCee. One girls a good girl and the other likes to do bad things so they balance eachother out and are good friends.
Disney’s Geek Charming is a light hearted comedy and heartwarming story about a young lady who tries to be all that she’s not but the young boy see’s who she trying to hide and finds the real girl he really likes and hopes other see her too. I really enjoyed this Disney movie. The Shake it up series is one of my daughters favorite after school Disney shows. She loves the dress style of Rocky and Cee and she absolutely loves to dance and tries the same moves she see’s the girls make on television. It’s a cute comedy show and one I feel safe about letting my children watch. The girls are fun and the show is really entertaining.
