OUR MASTERCARD PRICELESS CUBS EXPERIENCE
Take the #CUBSPLEDGE
My son and I were invited to experience some of these incredible experiences first hand.
Check out our day in video and pictures
A personally exciting part was my first fly ball catch and the one that I missed that rolled out by the infamous IVY Vines that climb the outfield wall. I TOUCHED THEM!!!
Just looking back at the video and all the photos the field is really beautiful. The grounds keep it so well kept and it’s just great to know that they take great pride in taking care of a great part of Chicago’s Historic ball park. Did you know that we still have the original score board. They just added a small digital one to the right of the board but they kept the original. It’s good to see they recognize the importance of it and are keeping it.
Here’s my son with the coach that was hitting balls to us.
Chicago Cubs’ Batting Coach Chris Bosio pitched us well over 10 balls each. Do you know what it was like standing in front of Home Plate knowing so many famous Ball players have stood there before me. INCREDIBLE!!!! Countless home runs where made from that very spot I was standing. The very spot I was hitting a ball. When the coach starting pitching balls to my son I almost started to cry. The pride and excitement that I felt for him was beyond anything I could describe. He was living a dream. He was hitting balls on Wrigley field and hitting them well into the outfield. The pride was beaming off his face when he walked up to shake hands with the coach.
My turn was up next. I was scared. I didn’t want to get hit with a pitch that was for sure. It took me a few pitches to trust the coach and to warm up but once I did a few taps of a ball and then Wahmo right down the 3rd base line. As I watched it roll I thought “I CAN DO THIS!!” and went for almost every pitch that came within my bat. Once I actually hit a line drive right at the batting cage the coach was pitching behind. That was kinda comical. Tables were turned. The coach is a great guy and I loved talking to him as he pitched balls my way. Another great moment I won’t soon forget.
After fielding and batting practice we left Wrigley field and returned at 5pm for a delicious and appetizing buffet dinner at the Stadium Club with some of the most tasty food I’ve had in a long time. The fruit and salad tasted so fresh and the desserts… Oh the desserts sooo Good. the 7 layer Carrot cake was my favorite.
The Cubs played the Phillie’s that night with a packed house. No matter which way you looked seemed like every seat was full. The Cubbies played an awesome game that night and fought back hard but unfortunately we lost 9 to 8 to end the game.
No matter what the outcome of the game my son and I experienced an incredible memorable day together that we both will be remember for ever.

The only thing that could of made that day better was to met a few ball players, shake some hands and possibly get an autograph or two. Who knows maybe that’s one of the prizes that someone could possibly win.
