Kids love to manipulate objects. They want to stretch, press, flatten and squeeze them if they can. You may remember Nickelodeon Floam and Gak. They were two products that made a huge hit among kids in the 90′s. They’d play with that stuff for hours! Floam and Gak have been completely reformulated to make playtime and clean-up a cinch for a new generation of families, new Nickelodeon Floam and Gak are two unique reusable compounds, each designed to encourage creative thinking and open-ended play.
New Nickelodeon Gak is a stretchy, squishy collectible compound. Gak can be squeezed, stretched, bubbled and more – once kids pick up Gak, they won’t want to put it down!
Nickelodeon fans have watched show guests get slimmed. Alot like the slime you see on Nickelodean Gak offers oowee, goowy, slimy hours of fun. Kids like to take Gak and squeeze it between their fingers, ooz it out their palms, and press it against objects. They stretch it, mold it, pinch it, squeeze it, and even blow bubbles with it using a straw.
We were sent three colors to test out and it’s a great thing too because I have 3 kids. With each child armed with Gak they sat at the table and were entertained for hours. Upon first taking Gak out of the resealable air tight storage container the blue and yellow were ready to play with, but the red was really moist and very gooey. My daughter tried to mend it, roll it, and play with it to air it out. She even stretched it out and left it for an hour hoping to dry it out just a bit quicker. The longer it sits in the air the better it is to play with. Her favorite part of playing with Gak is stretching it and blowing bubbles with it. Look at the huge one she made in the photo above. Really cool right?!
I have to stress that it’s very important that you keep your children on a play mat when playing with this and not near cloth furniture or carpet. My son dropped a small piece of his blue in the carpet and it dried up there. I managed to be able to scrape it out. Then the next night he feel asleep with the yellow and it stuck to his blanket in two different spots. Thankfully again I was able to scrape most of it out of it. My son loves GAK, but from now on he’s under adult supervision to play with it and restricted to table play. Boys!!
Available in the following colors:
Rebel red, Yakkity yellow, You Blue It, Goo Green, Tickled pink and purple panic.

New Nickelodeon Floam is an incredible, reusable molding compound. Mold, fold and roll new Nickelodeon Floam into any creation imaginable – the possibilities are endless!
Endless play and endless fun foam provides hours of fun for the kids. I really like this stuff. I liked the way it feels and I like that it’s not slimy. If its left out it does dry up but this is great for creating floam sculptures, molding around frames, toys, pencils, etc. to keep forever art work. Nickelodeon Floam comes with its own resealable container to store Floam in when not in use. It even has a molding slot for pressing foam into to form a shape.
This is one product my children enjoyed. It’s even textured. I think they liked pressing it between their fingers mostly. My daughter manipulated and made doll clothes for her doll which she often does with different materials, I think she may even grow up to be interested in fashion.
At first touch it feels wet but if you transfer it to your other hand it dries almost immediately. Both my 11 yr old and six yr old played with this for hours. Again my 6 yr old took it in the living room and left it sitting on the carpet over night. When I first saw it I was furious because it was sitting there and sadly the pieces were dried out but one good thing it was SUPER easy to pick up and dispose of. Playing with the floam was fun to play with and manipulate and even my 4 yr old enjoyed it. With the consistency and texture of it I actually wanted to use it to release stress, its relaxing to play with.
Floam comes in the following colors: Blazin Blue, Electri Yellow, Rockin’ Red, Glimmer Green, posh Pink and Purple Power

Oh I am loving her dress! I have to say the formulation is much better, but yeah very sticky at first.
I remember this stuff from when I was a kid. I love that they brought it back. Gak might be too messy with my 4 year old (who doesn’t like mess), but I think she’d like the Floam!
