Ice Cream and Pizza For a Party with Friends #GrabSummerFun

The summer time is the best time to get together with my childhood friends from High School. Between work and school there’s never enough hours in the day to get together for fun. We all have kids now and it can get a bit hectic to meet up at a public place all together so we try to plan visits at each other houses to get together, spend time, chat and share stories.  Of course we enjoy a meal and take lots of pictures because who knows when we’ll see each other again.  We love watching the kids play while we sit back and relax. We planned a get together later this week and I’m were all so excited. We started off by getting a manicure and pedicure together today and I went shopping afterward to Walmart for everything were going to need to Summer Fun Party.

It was 10 O’Clock at night when I went shopping. Can believe this place is still busy. I love that they have the parking lot lit up with so much lighting it almost makes you feel like it’s day time.  The lights and the security camera’s make me feel safe. I never worry about shopping at night.

Pizza is a please every body food and it’s easy to pass around.  I picked up several  Tombstone Pizza’s. That was at the top of my list. We love the great taste of Tombstone especially the Xtra Cheese and 4 Meat. Yummy.

The Temperature has really been on the rise here in Chicago so no get together would be complete without ending the day with Nestle Ice Cream. One of my favorite of all Ice Cream is Nestle Drumsticks and they have so many fun flavors I grabbed several boxes just to make sure I had all my bases and taste buds covered.

I have never seen the little mini Drumsticks before have you? Nestle really caught my eyes with this and not only do you get 12 in a box but they are only 110 calories!!!! I can burn that off with a few walks around the block. I can’t wait to sink my taste buds into these. Just knowing they are in the freezer right now is killing me. I want to snack on one. Must exercise will power and save them for our get together.

I think the hardest thing about shopping for Frozen items is hoping they all fit in my tiny Freezer with everything else I have in there.  With a few pizzas without the bulky boxes taking up room and a few Nestle Ice Cream boxes everything fit just perfect.

We honestly need to invest in a new refrigerator one of these days. This one has seen better days but for now it does the job of keeping our pizza and Ice Cream cold until we need it later this week. I think I need one of those hidden doors to hide all the goodies from the kids and hubby or a Giant sign that says, “Don’t Touch” until the Party.

We have been cleaning up the yard and keeping the pool clean. I’ve already called everyone and told them to bring a swimsuit and some extra folding chairs for hanging out by the pool.  We don’t have a huge pool but it’ll be perfect for everyone to cool off in.

The kids just love to swim and it will be great for them to cool off in before and after we eat. Our friends who are just like family to us after all these years we’ve had kids around the same time so they are all about the same age too. We can’t wait to get together for a Summer fun day and we’ll be sure to take a few group photos, too.
