It’s that time of year again with Thomas the tank again is local here in Illinois. My boys are so excited they can’t wait for the mystery on the rails tour and hang out with Thomas again. Thomas the Tank Engine™ is pulling out of the station for Day Out With Thomas™: Mystery on the rails tour 2012 Help our favorite No. 1 engine find the clues and solve the mystery!.
Presented by HIT Entertainment and sponsored by MEGA Brands, a leading toy company, Day Out with Thomas is a fun-filled and exciting way for children and adults to enter the world of Thomas & Friends.
Day Out With Thomas provides an opportunity for kids to take a ride on a 15-ton replica of Thomas and have their pictures taken with Sir Topham Hatt, the controller of Thomas’ railway. You’ll find a unique, interactive family experience at every station, offering a variety of entertaining activities.
There was so much to do last year we spent the whole day and even had lunch and ice cream too. My boys still talk about how they’d love to go back and I can’t wait to see this faces this year as well pull up and see Thomas waiting to give them a ride.
Entertainment will include:
petting zoos
miniature golf
bounce houses
face-painting
magic shows
Making each Day Out With Thomas event special and memorable for your little Thomas the Train fan. In addition, every location has a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station where you can Build with Mega Bloks® and participate in other Thomas-themed activities including stamps, hands-on arts and crafts, temporary tattoos, and a Thomas storytelling and video viewing area with seating for the whole family.
You can walk around the old train yard and take a walk back in time with some of the super old trains that have become permanent homes here at the Railroad Museum. I loved talking a walk back in time to look into the old cars and see magazines from 1972 still sitting in the box cars. It was really a incredible walk through history.
The tour, now in its 17th year, will make stops in more than 45 US cities and is expected to welcome more than one million passengers in 2012.
