Fellowes Air Purifier Review

Allergies are a year-round battle for our son and seasonally for my self. We have learned that taking medication isn’t enough to help us breathe easier and we’ve taken extra steps to cut down on allergens in the home by vacuuming several times a day, using blinds, and using hypoallergenic bedding but it still doesn’t seem to be enough. The sneezing, itchy watery eyes and stuffy nose symptoms where always present when we woke up. Dust seems to be a high factor and no matter how often I clean dust is just something that is always in the air. We’ve thought about taking steps for cleaning air in our home but just had yet to put them in action until now.

Mold and pollen count is at it’s highest this time of the year. To improve the air quality in the home an air purifier would help to eliminate allergens for all of us.

First Initial start up

Upon pulling the Fellowes Air Purifier out of the box I noticed set up instructions taped right to the front of the model. It states to remove the front panel and take out the filters to remove wrapping. This process was very easy. The front panel came off very easy and removing the wrapping off the carbon filter and the hepa filter was a snap. Then placement of the dual filter back and replacing the cover.

I have to say that I didn’t exactly know what to expect and I wondered how I would be able to tell the difference. I was pleasantly surprised.

The Situation:

After set up we left the house and had a day full of activities. We left the machine running and had two parties to attend. We didn’t come home again until 11 o’clock that night. Walking in the house into the living room you can certainly tell the difference in the air. It smelled cleaner, fresher, not so heavy. We all noticed it right away. It’s amazing how we new there was something that was different almost instantly.

Normally when we walk out and come back later in the day we can smell the last meal we cooked. Not this time. There were no odors in the air.

Daily use Thoughts:

It’s amazing how much better you can feel about your home when it just smells better and your feeling better free from allergen aggravation. I have noticed that my eyes have felt better the last few days, not so itchy and dry and I haven’t been sneezing my head off when I wake up which is usually a daily occurrence for both my son and I. He too has been sleeping better during the night.
