Philips Norelco PowerTouch Electronic Razer Shaver with Aquatec Review and Giveaway

I have three boys. My oldest graduated college two years ago. On the day I noticed my son was growing facial hair I wanted to make sure that he had the proper tools for grooming and keeping himself well shaved. Philips Norelco PowerTouch Electronic Razer shaver offers a Aquatec Wet and Dry shave option to protect better than a manual blade after a 21 day period.

My son shaves possibly once a week but not as often as I’d like him to. He usually waits until his facial hair is long and he can’t stand it any more. He jokes saying he’s waiting for hockey season and if they win the cup he’ll shave. He plays hockey but he’s not professional so of course that’s just a joke. He usually uses a manual blade to shave and using the Philips Norelco PowerTouch would be new experience for him.

Philips Norelco Power touch with Aquatec– Msrp: $79.99

Shaving dry before shorting the hair on the face is not a good idea when you don’t normally use an electric shaver. The hair feels as if it is pulling and tugging. Shaving wet with gel gives it a much smoother shave without the tugging. Shorting facial hair before using the Powertouch dry is most certainly a good idea. I liked the pop up trimmer for shaving the hair a bit shorter before using the triplehead razor for a closer shave.

I’ve used the Philips Shaver several times in the last few weeks and I noticed with each shave my skin and facial hair becomes easier to shave. It’s faster to shave if I shave regularly and I get a closer shave the more I use it. I really enjoy using the Philips Norelco PowerTouch and charging is a snap. Easy quick shaves with only a few minutes of charging and the charge holds throughout the week if I charge over night.

Clean shave

Note: My son regularly wears glasses. I made him take off the glasses due to the glare when I took a photo.

To the touch my skin was very smooth a lot smoother than what I get with a basic razor. I really liked the close shave the Norelco Powertouch delivered. The blue on the handle is really cool and the single touch to turn it on with my thumb is great. There’s isn’t a bag or a stand with this model but I usually put it in a drawer anyway.

I would recommend this to any of my friends.

If your son is going away to college or he really needs a good shave I highly recommend getting him a dependable shaver. He’ll be very grateful and keep himself well groomed while studying and keeping on top of subjects.

I look for something that is a smooth shave, doesn’t lose battery during 1st shave after charging, and doesn’t cause irritation whether shaving dry or wet. Thank you for a great review on the shaver. I’ll have to keep it in mind.
