Making Rice Krispy Treats with the kids is always fun. I love making them fresh and they love eating them. Now I can probably make rice Krispy treats every day of the week and my kids would devour them for breakfast, lunch and dinner or Linner (that’s lunch and dinner combined because sometimes things are so hectic around her we don’t quite get all 3 meals in. But of course Rice Krispy treats are always great snacks in between meals too. There are so many ways to make delicious and tasty Kellogg‘s Rice Krispy recipes fun. You’ll find some wonderful inspiration on and decorating ideas on RiceKrispies.com and you can even share your own creation on Rice Krispies’ Pinterest page.
Many recipes can be modified to fit a gluten-free lifestyle. Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Gluten Free cereal offers the great taste people have come to expect from the Rice Krispies brand.
While I have a fun recipe to share with you I also did my own basic design using similar ingredients. My kids don’t like eating anything that is colored with food coloring (yes they are strange) so I try to keep things basic yet fun.
Here’s our creation:
Ingredients:
- Large bag of regular Marshmellows
- Milky Way Mini’s
- 6 cups of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal
- 3 tbls Butter or Margarine
Directions:
In large sauce pan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Add 6 cups of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.
3. In large square pan spread Rice Krispies in a square. Unwrap Milky ways and place to make a Pumpkin smiley face.

With a small variation and a few extra ingredients you too can make these tasty little Treats for your Trick or Treaters!
After melting the marshmallows you can tint with orange food coloring. Then add your Rice Krispies. using 1/2 cup measuring cup coated with cooking spray divide warm cereal mixture into 12 portions. Using buttered hands shape each portion into pumpkin shaped around one candy piece. Pip frosting onto each for vines and attach a gumdrop for the stem. Best if served up the same day.
Now doesn’t that look delightful! Can you think of any other designs projects that you can make with these fun Rice Krispies Treats ingredients?
