VTech has been developing high-quality, innovative education products that enrich the development of children from birth to preteen since 1980. Through fun and smart play children develop enriching experience that they carry with them through learning and development. VTech has developed Switch and Go Dino electronic fun for boys. The Switch and go Dino’s create a unique 2-in-1 play experience designed specifically for boys ages 3 – 8 years old. My 4 and 7 yr old boys fit perfectly within that age group. They absolutely love cars and dinosaurs combining the 2 along with the electronic feature my boys love the creativity Vtech Switch and Go Dino’s have to offer.
There are 7 collectable dinosaur toys including four starter toys. Each toy transforms from a dinosaur to a vehicle and back again in a matter of a few seconds and just a few simple steps. This dynamic toy combination keeps my boys busy for hours.
Switch and Go Dinos
There are four starter Switch & Go Dinos: Sliver the T-Rex™, T-Don the Pteranodon™, Tonn the Stegosaurus™, and Horns the Triceratops™.
Each of them is customizable with three animated dinosaur and three animated vehicle faces.
The four Starter Switch & Go Dinos – Sliver the T-Rex, T-Don the Pteranodon, Tonn the Stegosaurus and Horns the Triceratops – are available now at www.VTechKids.com and all major retailers for a suggested retail price of $15.99. Attila the Ankylosaurus (SRP: $24.99), Span the Spinosaurus (SRP: $29.99) and Brok the Brachiosaurus (SRP: $49.99) are also on-sale now.
Our Thoughts:
My 4 yr old preschooler loves Sliver the T-Rex. Slilver shouts the fact, “The name T-Rex means king of the tyrant lizards!” Sliver makes dramatic dinosaur and vehicle sounds and says more than 10 phrases in each mode. My son loves switching from Car to Dino and back again. He loves when the face changes to dinosaur face then to a race car driver face. He says, “that’s me in there!” I love his imagination. It took a bit of time for him to figure out how to switch him but once he did he couldn’t help but switch him back and forth over and over again.
My 7 year old 1st grader really thinks Attila the Ankylosaurus is super cool. In the dinosaur mode Attila comes equipped with a tail that swings back and forth and with the press of a button, and can be heard making dramatic dinosaur sounds and sharing 30 fun expressions, like, “I’m an herbivore. I chow down on plants” and, “I’m built like a tank with armor all over my head, back, and sides.” My son thinks it’s cook he can customize Attila by selecting from four animated dinosaur faces on the LCD screen.
In 5-6 steps, Attila transforms into a construction vehicle complete with a movable crane. Included are two accessories that plug into the crane: a wrecking ball and a tow hook. An accessory truck is also provided, which doubles as spikes and armor in dinosaur mode. These accessories, together with Attila the construction vehicle, create a realistic construction set for boys. In vehicle mode, Attila makes several sounds and yells up to 30 phrases, like, “I’m a one man wrecking machine,” and, “Yahoo!” Boys can customize the driver in the Attila vehicle by choosing from four animated faces.
My son thought that it was really cool that he turned into a tow truck. He was able to pull out the tow and turn in back in to short the rope. The switch and go dino’s are really creative and we love that they are animated. Kids love to make noises along with the animation and that just makes them more fun.

Looks like fun!
My son got almost all of them for Christmas – he loves them. I’m not a fan of a few things the Trex says bc he are rude and demanding and things I’d be embarrassed to have my son repeat in from of this teachers, but most of them are not like that. I love how he really gets animated with them!

Ooh, starter Transformers with digital eyes – so cool! It’s such a good thing that they included so many different phrases for each toy as I’m sure the parents will be hearing them over and over again
