Mega Bloks® Skylanders Giants™ fans will love the all new Zeppelin Air Ship Assault Skylanders. Skylanders Giants™ became popular when Spyro’s Adventure won critical and fan acclaim by being the first video game to combine the toy world and the game world into one singular, seamless experience.  It was number one at the top of the list for many of the kids I know and even my own.  Skylanders brought toys into the game world; now Mega Bloks is bringing that game into the real world with Mega Bloks® Skylanders Giants™ and you’ll want to get your hands on them!

These creative kits allow children to perform many of the actions that we want them to practice such as following directions, creative thinking, counting, staying focused on projects and giving parents 5 minutes of peace and quiet. Now the peace and quiet only lasts for a short 5 minutes if your children are like mine.

My son was really excited to get started on the project building but once he saw the amount of work and pieces he literally threw his hands up, handed me the directions and walked away. I think he was just a bit overwhelmed since this is the first mega bloks kit he’s had a hand in putting together. I called him back pretending I was confused, couldn’t see the diagram photos to count the blocks needed to build the air ship and really needed his expertise. (that’s a little mom trick to help build confidence and self esteem. He falls for it every time. ) He was then intrigued and eager to help. Half way through he decided he didn’t need my help any longer and built the Air Ship assault  on his own.

Mission confidence booster accomplished.

Now of course we have more than what’s pictured above but you know when kids love toys they tend to play hard and lose pieces.  (NOTE: pictures have been changed and my sd card from our original assembly process were added.

here’s where we were in between:

We love that the directions were easy to follow although took a bit of effort and time in putting this together. The boys absolutely loved that it comes with more than one character to play with and a cannon that shuts arrows with a simple press of a button. Certainly worth building adventure by collecting all of the Skylander kits to have them featured together for play.
