When it comes to super hero and pretend play my preschooler takes it to a whole new level. He loves being the center of attention and pretending he’s Batman but it just isn’t the same unless he’s wearing a costume. My 4 yr old loves all of the super hero’s but this month his heart is in Batman. In the past he’s been a fan of of Hulk, Thor, Buzz Light year (he’s a super hero right?) and now his heart is with Batman. It all started when he received Xbox Batman2 for Christmas. My little crime fighter was chasing famous criminals like the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Two Face all over Gotham City with his side kick (mom) Robin.
When I saw the iconic Boys Light up Batman Costume at WholesaleCostumes.com I knew I had to get it for him. Not only were the features so characteristic of Batman but it also lights up. You know kids go crazy for costumes with lights. Not to mention a fabulous safety feature for Trick or Treating on Halloween night or hiding in closets to jump out and scare mom.
You can really see the detail in the costume. The chest is padded and there’s lots of detail to show off Batman’s muscles. Th hood has a cape attached to it and its a separate piece from the costume. One the sleeves you can see there are small flared wings. Going down the leg there’s even more detail and boots to cover the shoe’s. There’s also a strap at the end of the costume near the boot to make sure they stay down over the shoes the child is wearing.
We weren’t really impressed with the belt. It’s kinda of cheap plastic accessory and there really isn’t much to it. It does tie in the back and your child can chose to wear it or not it totally doesn’t take away from the cool factor of this costume.
But they totally went the extra mile on the costume by adding lights on the chest in the shape of the Batman Signal which is easy to operate with a press of a button.
My son absolutely loves this costume and wears it for hours as well as on trips to visit family. He loves showing off his costume and he’s little super star when he wears this costume.
This costume is a size Small. My son’s is only about 36 lbs and he’s short. The costume is kinda big on him but we have plenty of time to let him grow into it. It does stretch a bit too so I think it’ll be his favorite for a long time.
A big thank you goes out to wholesalehalloweencostume.com for supplying this costume for review. Thoughts in this post are 100% our own and honest opinion.
Don’t you think he look awesome?
