Vacation planning has never been one of my strong suits. Having a large family with children of all ages makes it a bit difficult to make plans for family travel but not impossible.  A few weeks ago we traveled 5 hours in the car from Chicago to Ohio.  We were on an adventure to discover Ohio and the kids were really excited.  Our first stop was the Drive through Safari at African Safari Wild Life. It was wonderful up close and personal adventure with wild life that the whole family loved and we’ll never forget. On our many travel stops was the Ghostly Manor Thrill Center.  The kids certainly were up for all of the fun things there was to do and all I hoped for was that it was going to wear them out so they would sleep good that night.

There was so much to do at Ghostly Manor.  They have several packages to chose from upon arrival you just need to pick the right package for your child.  The activities to chose from were rolling skating, mini golf, bounce house, 4D theater, Haunted house, and Arcade game play.   We were provided with Free all pass tickets to give everything a try to share our opinion on the exciting things there are to do at Ghostly Manor. First let me start off by saying that Ghostly manor is not just a popular attraction place during Halloween there is so much to participate and do here the kids almost never want to go home.

The very fist thing I love about this place is the outside. The building is really gorgeous. The dragon is really cool and I’ve seen photos of the outside of the building lit up at night. It looks really cool.

The first activity the kids wanted to do was jump in the bounce house. They have several bounce houses but only blew up two for us that day.

While the little one’s jumped the girls went right for the roller skates. They were ready to skate around the rink to old school and update to date tunes. They dim the lights over the roller rink and they have the strobe lights going to the beat of the music.  Kids can chose from scooters, to roller blades or roller skates to use on the rink.

Next up was the Glow in the dark 3D Miniature Golf. The boys were really excited to get in there until they realized it was 3D and that there were a few things that go bump and air bursts. Then they were chickens. My 7 yr old was insisted on finishing the course so I followed along as he played from room to room. He loved it. “The colorful wobbly bridge and talking screens are cool”,  he said.

My sister-in-law and I along with her son took in a virtual 4D Roller Coaster ride first. You sit in the yellow chairs and strap yourself in. They give you glasses to wear while watching a movie and the seats sway as you corner and ride the virtual roller coaster on curbs, off cliffs and around turns. It’s really cool and gives you the feeling of being on a real roller coaster. I would of love to sit through both of the films.

We chose the Haunted Mine ride this time and hope we’ll be able to catch the Canyon 3d Coaster ride next time.

Ghostly Manor Haunted house was extremely scary and really awesome. I wasn’t allowed to take photo’s inside but let me say that the girls didn’t even get past the 1st door. Once my niece heard there was clowns in there she didn’t want any part of it. She’s extremely afraid of clowns. Me on the other I love haunted houses. Its been well over 10 yrs since I’ve been to one and I could wait to go through. I was able to talk my sister-in-law in going through with me although she wasn’t very fond of the idea and made me owe her a beer in return. I have to say that although we were both scared out of our wits at times there was parts I was so busy laughing at her at how scared she was I couldn’t control my self and laughed way too hard. We kept trading places as to who was going first. We were told it’s been rated #4 of the worlds scariest walk through Haunted Houses and all I have to say is if your claustrophobic BEWARE!

We loved everything about Ghostly Manor Thrill center. It’s fun for all ages. If your ever in Sandusky, Ohio Stop by for hours of fun. Located just minutes from Ohio Kalahari Water Park, Resort and Convention Center.
