I love my boys. If there were ever a pair that could entertain it’s these two. Although many say they look alike they are like night and day. One has the drive of bull and the other the humor of a laughing hyena. He’s a nut. Can you guess who is who? My little man is starting his first full day of Kindergarten today and I think it was one of the hardest days I had with dropping off any of my four children for their first day. Knowing he is my “baby” and the “end of the line” my home is now empty of laughter during the day and all I have left is me, a laundry room full of laundry, a sink full of dishes, messy closets and unmade beds. I suppose I can find something to do with my time all day since I’m home alone now.
While I know that school is so important and this will be a foundation for education and fun times that both of them will just love and look back on in days to come I just can’t help but feel like I could cry. I have cried. again. and again.
My boys are growing up. Just last yr we did half days and we still had our “Mommy and Me” days to do things and now all we’ll have is after school and weekends and holiday vacations.
It’s going to take a bit of time and transition and I hope that we’ll all adjust sooner than later. Getting back into the swing of things has been difficult especially now that mother nature has finally given us a few days of summer weather with 90 degree temperatures that we have been waiting for. We are all looking forward to a long weekend of summer fun and good times.
What are your plans for Labor day weekend ??
