We have been using Walmart Family Mobile lowest price rate plan with unlimited plan service for the last month and I have to tell you that I’m really impressed by the quality of phone service as well as the price for monthly service. These days we have to watch what were spending especially now that we have 5 children in the house and only one of us currently working full time so things are rather tight. Things have been so tight that we cut off hubby’s cell phone over 6 yrs ago because we just couldn’t afford to add another line. It makes it really difficult on us because we can’t get a hold of each other when we really need to because one of us is without a cell phone.
Then along comes Walmart Family Mobile powered by T-Mobile trial opportunity and what we learn is we can get the same great service we now have but with the fabulous upgrade of UNLIMITED talk, text and web for a fraction of the cost that I’m paying now. The Unlimited service is just $39.88 a month compared to $60 a month I’m paying which doesn’t included unlimited (web) data and the $140 a month my son is paying which also doesn’t included unlimited web data.
To say that is a huge savings is an understatement. It makes me do the happy dance. I’m starting to think about what we can do with the extra money we’d be saving by staying with the the Walmart Family Plan. Even with adding an extra line it’s only an additional $34.88 a month. That would bring us to just $15 more a month for hubby to get a phone if we both were on the same Family plan. What’s even better is he really doesn’t use the internet so we can just get the plan that’s $24.88 a month for him which included unlimited talk and text. That plan would just add $5 to our budget a month and that I can live with. Added benefit would be unlimited service for data, which we all know how valuable that would be, and me being a able to get a hold of hubby when I need him that’s priceless.
Now let’s talk about set up. Set up was easy. I simply followed instructions to activate the Concord phone I purchased and used the starter kit directions to get started. Once done they text messaged you the cell number so you’ll always have until you memorize it. Hubby still can’t remember the number but he has it at his finger tips whenever he needs it.
Hubby says it’s pretty easy to operate since it’s similar to the old cell phone we used. The one thing that I have learned is not every phone delivers excellent service on the same carrier plan. Some phone’s work faster on the web, some phone’s delivery better call quality and many deliver different picture quality. The one pet peeve I have with this cell phone is the picture quality is grainy. I can’t figure out how to take a good indoor picture to save my life and outdoor pictures are okay but not the best.
The phone call quality is great and so far we’ve haven’t experienced drop calls. Hubby has traveled quite a bit around Illinois with it and the service gives a good quality of voice and connection. I personally would recommend that you spend a little bit extra on a good cellphone that has the quality that your used to but definitely go with the Walmart Family Plan for the savings.
My daughter is especially excited about having another cell phone in the house because when the other phones are in use she still has a way to contact her friends. In addition, my daughter really loves that dad has some really cool apps on his phone to play.
When it comes time to pay my bill I get a text letting me know it’s due and I go to the online account management and information and pay there. No stamps needed. No driving to the post office. Just simply log in and pay. So easy. Walmart Family Mobile really is the best wireless with the lowest price rate plan.
