The kids love after school playdate’s with friends. When entertaining a large group of friends I find that after school means snacks, treats and fun. The kids have plenty of things to do in our yard with the trampoline, swingset and bikes but it won’t be too long when they start asking for food. We put together an exciting Popsicle Pop up party using helpful entertaining tips from Brooke Peterson and you can, too.
Shop when prices are low and the sales are on. Stock up on necessary items like paper beverages, condiments, plates/plastic utensils, so you never run out.
Set up early- Create a Hot dog bar it’s a delicious way to feed large crowds. Set out “go-to” sides like mustard, onions, and relish and you can get creative with pineapple, or chili, hot sauce so guests can have fun creating a hot dog masterpiece. And for dessert have a cooler full of ready made Popsicle pops and brand treats that kids and parents are sure to enjoy.
Color Palette- Be mindful of the rule of three. Meaning use three main colors so it doesn’t get too busy or cluttered. For my popsicle party I stuck with red, blue and yellow perfect colors off the Popsicle box.
Game On- No party is complete without a friendly games. Whetheryour teaching kids some of the old favorites like tag, duck duck goose, or capture the flag kids and party goers will have a great time.

After school the kids invited friends. My niece and daughter brought over friends from school and my kindergartner and 2nd grader had friends over, too. We had over 12 kids in our yard and they were all hungry. We called them in in shifts.
The kids had hot dogs, chicken nuggets and chips. For dessert I served up the delicious treats from Popsicle! Firecrackers, Marvel Super hero, Popsicle pops, and Fudgsicles.
After the kids ate we sent them all out in the yard where we had more room to run and spread out. I put the Popsicle treats in a cooler and rolled it outside.
These two little rascals love their Popsicle treats. So remember to pick up Popsicles for your next party and you’ll create frosty smiles of fun.
