Tour Chicago with Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Co For a Real Chicago Experience
Experience the beauty, architecture, culture of the City of Chicago in a Chicago Tour riding on top of a Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Co bus.
I’ve lived in Chicago all my life and I’ve taken my kids into the city many times. We’ve driven in the car around the city, we’ve taken the train into the city, we’ve walked around the city to experience parts of it but nothing compared to our experience riding on top of a Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Co. Tour Bus and being able to hop off and hop back on at the designated location stops.
When you drive around Chicago you don’t get to see everything there is to see, your too busy trying to navigate your through traffic and watching the street signs to really experience the culture, the tall buildings, the stores, the sites, or the people. Riding on top of the Double Decker Bus with the luxury of seeing it all from above with a tourists view. It really is an incredible must have experiences for guest of Chicago and anyone wishing to know a little more about the beautiful city of Chicago.
The tour guide was fantastic. She told us about the city and past history of Chicago. Shared stories about the people who helped shape our city. She told us about the stops and places that were coming up on our drive and people were even allowed to get off and get back on. Each stop was only 5 minutes but if you hurry you can get off and take a few photos and get right back on.
The Chicago Double Decker tour guide was even happy to answer any questions the riders had. She was sure to warn the riders on top about the tree’s that hung low so no one would get wacked in the face or head by a branch.
The best part of riding on top of the bus other than not having to look through a glass window was being able to have the best view and see it all from above. Driving past well known popular Chicago spots like Water the Tower, Michigan Ave shopping, Millennium Park, Navy Pier (which is where we caught the bus), drive past the Museums – Adler Planetarium, Field Museum, and Shedd Aquarium and so much more.
The tour we took was the Night Tour. The Night Tour showcases Chicago’s dazzling skyline and illuminated landmarks after the sun goes down. Beginning at Sheraton Hotel the Night Tour makes stops at the Skydeck, Hilton Chicago, Navy Pier and the Hancock Tower featuring 360 Chicago, allowing passengers to hop-on or hop-off throughout the evening.
The Night Tour operates daily from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and is approximately 90 minutes in duration. It really is a great deal for the time you spend traveling and being able to get off and jump back on is the best part especially if your on a day time tour. This will allow you to get off the bus stop off for lunch, do a bit of shopping, and sight see a bit and take photos of the beautiful city of Chicago.
My family and I really loved the Trolley Tours. We talked about taking the Double Decker tour in the past and just never got around to it. I’m really happy that we were invited to experience this tour to share our experience with my audience. I think it is really an incredible adventure and I look forward to bring my kids down and other family members to do it again and this time during the day so we can experience getting off and touring our beautiful city. We caught the Trolley near Navy Pier that day and enjoyed walking around before hand. Next time I think we’d like to make a whole day of touring the beautiful city of Chicago with Chicago Trolley and Double Decker Co.
Next time we’ll bring a light jacket. It did get a little chilly riding up top with the wind from driving and the sun going down.
Thanks so much for your hospitality and the Best riding tour of Chicago we’ve ever experienced!
